He is a senior writer for U.S. News and World Report, a regular panelist on the McLaughlin Group and a Fox News Channel contributor. Richard E. Cohen brings to the Almanac 24 years of experience covering Capitol Hill. He is the 1990 winner of the Everett McKinley Dirksen Award for distinguished reporting on Congress and National Journal's congressional reporter since 1977. Cohen is an active author of books about Congress, including a 1999 biography of former Rep. Dan Rostenkowski.
